Thank you
Thank you all for attending the symposium and making it a great event. I would also like to thank each of the speakers for their contribution to the day. Han's provided a detailed overview of internationalisation in the global higher education context and focused on emerging concerns and with internationalisation as a construct and the discrepancies between discourse and reality. Elspeth explored the drivers of internationalisation and, notions of global citizenship and drew attention to the gaps in the literature and our understanding of the impacts of internationalisation on students. Carmela provided observations and insights into the issues and complexities for the development of English language communication skills as this intersects with internationalisation and outlined her OLT Fellowship and associated projects. Wendy spoke to the importance of supporting academics in the internationalisation of the curriculum process and the challenges and successes at the University of Queensland.

For more details contact Dr. Craig Whitsed or look for us on Linkedin. Or, visit Betty Leask's IoC In Action website. The Ioc Sig is supported by the International Education Association of Australia (IEAA).
On this page you will find a feedback form for the symposium and pdf files for each of the presentations. If you would complete the feedback form and submit it we would greatly appreciate your comments and observations. At the bottom of the page there is an expression of our gratitude to those without whom this event would not have been possible.

Thank you for making this event possible
I would like to thank all those who made it possible for us to host this symposium. At Murdoch, I would like to thank in particular the General Manager of Organisational Capability, Mr. Selwyn Poi; the Manager Educational Development Prof. Rick Cummings; and the Director of Student Life and Learning, Dr. Marian Kemp. Without their assistance and support this event would not have been possible. In addition, I would add a huge thank you to Annie Johnson, Sue Senior, Karyn Barenberg, and Vani Lambourne for their administrative support and Martin Gwyn-Fawke.
